I always hoped no one would bring up those kind of races. Well OK, I lost that one????? I can't remember if I flipped a spreg in my Lenco Trans of broke the chain between the motors. The trans was only good for eight safe runs without a spreg change and the chain needed to be changed after five runs. I knew I couldn't out push Truett, but I had a lot of Fans there, and I couldn't let them down, I had to show I was willing to try.
Whoa, wait a minute. I lost a few races in my time and I never threw my bike in the back of a trailer and burnt rubber getting out of the drag strip. Do you know how many winner circles I was in that not one fellow drag racer showed up too????
