When did they start calling it TOP Fuel? I remember a lot of years it was A Fuel. I don't remember NHRA calling it TOP Fuel Motorcycle intil they ran at INDY.
I know all the years at Irwindale it was A Fuel, Jr, Fuel. Even at Old San Gabriel Drags in the 50's when it was 61 Cu In up it was A Gas and A Fuel when they went back to letting us run fuel again. I raced there until it closed and I never heard a bike called a Top Fuel Bike.
Didn't Roy Stwarn call it A Fuel in the old AMDRA, that's what they put on the paper pie plate they had you tape to your back fender brace.
There was no Top Fuel Motorcycle in the early years, it was called A Fuel wasn't it.
I know I personally spent a lot of years trying to get them to anounce my bike as a Top Fuel Bike.
